Global Warming - Is the sky falling? Or is this a giant political power grab?
There is NO consensus on Global Warming, merely the statement that "most scientists believe" that it is occuring. Power, media, bureaucracy and money are the engines driving this "recent development". Empirical evidence is seldom used to support the claims made and any dissent is derided and attacked. What happened to true meaningful scientific debate? Most of the proponents are scientists who get their funding to study GW. If there was no GW, they would have no jobs or grants. Media plays it up so they have new stories all the time, and "Conservatives" to blame. Bureaucrats love it because it will expand the government and add new departments they can rule over. Power, because it creates voting blocks of people who believe it, believe it is our fault (America in particular) and want to save the world from us dastardly humans (and Capitalism, although the dirtiest countries are Totalitarian or Communists) thereby insuring politicians that espouse the GW theory will get into office while opponents will have a much harder time.
Wake up Sheeple! We are being manipulated.
“I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.
Barry Goldwater
Democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.
