Congratulations! Why do people love to hate the Yankees? Baseball would not be the same without their influence. If you are asked about great players, Yankees fill your head. Of course there were individuals from other teams, sometimes many on the same ones. But no one has been as consistent or has as much historical import. Next time someone sneers about thew Yankees, ask them how they feel about the Dallas Cowboys. The Yankees can afford to do what they do because of the perfection they strive for year after year. More power to them. Go Yankees!
ps – I would have really liked to watch them play Joe and the Dodgers. THAT would have been a classical matchup (minus the LA part).
